Smartek 1200-Watt Steam Iron Review
Smartek’s 1200-watt self-cleaning steam iron is an inexpensive but highly-rated clothing iron. It’s available in gray, green, and red.
It has a non-stick soleplate, transparent water tank with built-in water cover, and a heat indicator light. The shape and contour of the sole plate allow for precise, easy ironing.
If you fill the water reservoir of the Smartek iron too full, it will tend to leak or drip on your clothing.
This is a relatively light iron, weighing approximately one and a half pounds, compared to others reviewed here on this site.
With a 1200-watt heating element, it tends to heat up very quickly. The temperature-setting dial works well, allowing you to control the heat level effectively. The variable steam control allows you to adjust how much or how little steam you get from it.
If you’re looking for a lot of high-end features, this iron probably isn’t what you need. But if you’re looking for a basic “get the job done” steam iron that doesn’t cost too much, the Smartek 1200-watt steam iron is a good choice.
